The early life of Vinod Chalwadi
Born in Belgaum, the small ‘bamboo village’ of Karnataka, Mr Chalwadi spent his childhood in nature’s lap around the Western Ghats of India. He faced a lot of hardships in his early life, but took all of them in his stride and learned at every step – a true sign found in every leader.
He was always inspired to add value to the world and dreamt big. An important aspect of his life that moved with him throughout was that he never let the ideas die down and carried them into adulthood.
Making of an entrepreneur – how it all started
With a penchant for serving people, Mr Vinod Chalwadi started his career by joining a three-year degree course in hotel management. It laid the foundation for his later life as he learned how to understand customer needs and served them accordingly, with subjective solutions.
The graduation years also brought with them a phase of self-discovery for him, and he stumbled through contemplations, visions and thoughts to understand his true calling.
Vinod Chalwadi’s growth into a full-fledged businessman
After completing his graduation, Mr Chalwadi joined Taj in Bangalore as a hotel manager. He utilised his time there to gain experience through working along with some big brains at the flagship.
And the next big move was – joining the University of Sunderland in London for an MBA degree. These two years were considerably harsher for him as he also had to finance his stay and education. Subsequently, he used his hotel management skills to work as a part-timer in one of the reputed restaurants in the locality.
After the studies, he used the acquired skills to analyse and research the travel industry. Finally, realising his summons, Vinod Chalwadi started the company EBT Management Consultants Pvt Ltd., an organisation that today helps millions of people from small towns realise their travel dreams.
Always being dedicated to his service, this man has proved to be solid and strong even if some foe tried to defile him. His relentless endeavour to better the travel industry has given him stable credence in the society.
